$166,550 p.a. Package includes salary ($133,348 - $146,945p.a.), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is the independent prosecuting authority responsible for the prosecution of all serious indictable offences committed against the laws of New South Wales. We are an agency of over 1100 staff, working throughout NSW to service the main court centres. Our 10 offices have a mix of Crown Prosecutors, Solicitor Advocates, Solicitors and support staff.

The Role

 

The ODPP is seeking for a Senior Developer to join the Applications & Information Management team to develop, maintain, and implement innovative technology solutions across the Office. You will provide senior-level support for enterprise applications, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement across the organisation.

 

As a Senior Developer, you will:

 

  • Provide technical expertise for, and development of, various enterprise-grade digital based solutions.
  • Proactively identify business risks and opportunities to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating issues, including proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis as necessary, to maintain system performance to meet user demand.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical support.
  • Contribute to building technical system capability by researching and recommending technical solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the ODPP Technical roadmap.

 

About you

 

  • You will have tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of applications.
  • Experience in development languages including Angular, .NET and C#
  • Experience in building solutions leveraging Azure services such as Event Grid, Functions, Blob Storage, and Azure Container Instances, and managing data interactions with Cosmos DB (NoSQL) and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in development and maintenance of robust API’s for internal and external integrations, including SharePoint-based solutions.
  • Experience with modern project management methodologies (Agile development & systems (Azure DevOps) including conducting code reviews, ensuring adherence to secure coding standards and best practices.
  • Strong data and business analytical skills, with proven ability to quickly gain sound understanding of business practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills to deliver a high level of customer service and manage stakeholders effectively.

Interviews

 

The interview process will be conducted virtually, and no travel will be required. The interview process will include capability-based assessments which may require your time and presence on more than one day.  

Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete an online assessment during a 24-hour period. The assessment must be completed in one sitting and is expected to take approximately one hour and can be done any time during the specified 24-hour period.
